The Fall River Fire
Department received a donation of a state-of-the-art drying
cabinet for its Flint Reney/Eastwood Fire Station on Eastern Avenue. This specialized cabinet, the EcoDry ADFG is designed specifically for the drying of firefighter’s turnout gear that is critical to safety of our first responders.
The EcoDry ADFG was donated by American Dryer Corporation (ADC), a leading manufacturer of commercial dryers based out of Fall River, Massachusetts.
“The Fall River Fire Department does an excellent job protecting the residents and businesses of Fall River and this donation is simply our way of saying thank you”, said Joseph Bazzinotti, President of American Dryer Corporation. “We are proud to donate this important piece of equipment to aid in the comfort and care of the turnout gear for our city’s firefighting heroes.”
Meeting with Chief Paul Ford and several of the members of the Flint Reney/Eastwood Station house, Chief Ford shared that the turnout gear is built to withstand heat
and fire and for the safety of the firefighters and when this heavy insulated and tear-proof fabric gets wet, it can take days to be fully dry. He noted that the donation of the fire cabinet “provides a little comfort for this hard working crew with dry, warm equipment – especially on during these cold days.”
American Dryer Corporation designed this rugged, heavy-duty steel fire cabinet to meet the demands of the Flint Reney/Eastwood Fire Station for many years. The cabinet has several standard features including five removable coat and pants hangers, a self-diagnostic microprocessor, two independent heating and fan systems and a drainage basin for water run off. This cabinet also includes optional features such as the glove and boot hangers and an adjustable hose shelf that can hold a 75 foot, 1.5” diameter hose. Painted in fire engine red, the cabinet was inscribed specifically for the Fall
River Fire Department with a metal etched helmet and F.R.F.D, Flint Station medallion.
